Reacquaintence With My Dreams

Syd

Last night I slept so peacefully
Last night I slept so sound

Sinking through soft cotton sheets
My consciousness unwound

Free range sleep much needed
Not manufactured by machines

Having not dreamt for weeks
I loved the reacquaintence
Seeking sanctuary within my dreams

Relient on artificial unconsciousness
No water for seeds to sow
Dependant on artificial unconsciousness
Only artificial plants can grow

Softly swimming through vivid slide shows
No fear of sinking...

I will not drown

Delicate shoots of spring
Rendered with dew
Emerge now
From the nourished fertile ground

Refreshed with optimism
Like springtime after winter

Dreams are abstract snapshots of my life
Through a rose tinted filter

Glowing with positivity
Now understanding what it means...

Understanding the loving courtship
Between unconsciousness and dreams
