Fading Away

Agiel

A beautiful star
That's fading away
What was once colorful
Is now turning grey

Just like fire
Without a breath
What was once life
Is now turning death

You promised the moon
You promised the sky
What was once true
Is now saying goodbye

My hands are bound
My neck to a rope
What was once fact
Is now a crushed hope

Dreams were lived
Love was spoken
What was once stable
Is now forever broken

I am shattered
I can not withstand
What was once paradise
Is now dry land

Get it over with
Deliver the final blow
What was once a romance
Is now a freak show

The story we wrote
Is now no more
All the promises we spoke
To be locked in a drawer
