I'll Always Be There

"Carter Wills"

I'd ask of you to listen here,
and just ignore for a second your fear.
Sometimes, sure, life won't be fair,
but just remember that for you I'll always be there

When it seems like life is beating you down,
and it's as if your voice has tuned out its sound,
when even the sun’s light seems only to glare,
just remember that I'll always be there.

As things get to be at their worst,
and life no longer stands at the point of first,
I'd ask you not to forget that this world isn't so bare,
and that I'll forever and always be there.

So if you need a shoulder you can cry on,
if you need a good person you can rely on,
don't worry, my friend, have a care,
and know that, for you, I'll always be there
