Fear of Loneliness

A

I know you're scared.
But the fear of being alone is pointless.
One day,
At some point and time,
You will die and leave this earth.
People will change,
And after a sorrowful patch;
In the end,
The world will still move on.
The fear of being alone is pointless.
So, instead of grieving towards a day that has yet to come,
Enjoy the ones you have.
Enjoy the memories you once had.
Look around at the people who love you.
I love you.
See?
It's not over.
And you're not alone.
So enjoy your life.
Love. Cry. Scream. Live through it all.
Well, what are you waiting for?
Go!
Oh but one more thing,
Before you leave me again,
Remember,

Pain is inevitable.

And Death is unavoidable.

Don't waste your life in regret.

Because then one day,
You will sit alone, hunched and perplexed by bad decisions,
Taking your final breaths, and no one to share it with.

No one wants to be alone.
So don't allow someone to be alone.
make a difference,

the world could use it.   -Aems a poet with a fear of being alone. {8/20/18}
