Our moments don't last forever

Mirrorphen

Crystals shine bright through the stars
but set fire through the sun
Bubbles float through air
but disappear if they are provoked
Candles can light up a room
but their wax doesn't last forever
Ocean meets the surface through the horizon
but throws itself rough to land.
The Moon shines bright at night almost as if it's the only thing you can see
but during sunrise, it is barely visible.

  • Comment from author about the poem: We get too caught up in the moment of our 'shining moment' we often make a mistake that is more noticeable.
