My heart bleeds freely as we get to your month, a month full of sorrow is when we lost our son.

They took him away like he was theirs to keep, dear brother how did you ever let it get that deep. 

You said you'd be home soon, but I never got to see you again, left you dead, cold, alone. 

Brother I wish there was more I could have done but you told me run to avoid the gun. 

See I never knew happiness from that point on, I cried and I cried till I couldn't no more.
