Deception

erianna_dupras

Love

A four letter word:

One part commitment, part passion,

Part trust, and part intimacy.

Lies

A four letter word:

One part disapointment, part anger,

Part pain, and part betrayal.

How can words so similar in looks,

But so different in intention;

Be so easily

Mistaken.

Like taking a pill,

You trusted it would

Make you feel

Better.

Only to realize that

The pill you just swallowed.

Was in fact actually

Poison.

The confusion sets in.

No.

There is no way

You read that label

Wrong.

No.

But the truth is,

You did not read

That label wrong.

No.

The facts on the

Label which you trusted

Must be true were

Lies.

So there you lay

Suffering on the floor.

All alone, again;

Hoping this pain with pass.

Hoping that you will live to love again.

Oh I have given up believing in love. Lies are much more reliable!

It sounds as though you still have some hope hidden in your poem 💜
