- It was night time and was nodding off
My mind was drowsy warm and soft
- I was unworthy for this unexpected meeting
For my hope and dreams lately have been fleeting
- She came without warning or sound was I dreaming
She cupped my check and whispered a sweet greeting
- For I thought we would never meet ever again
That our time together was at its end
- But she has blessed me with the gift of company
The question is why she would bother wasting time on me
- For she knows she has two admirers, one on either side
But she wants a friend and her request I must abide
- And so, I must burden her and become her said friend
For I heard and saw an angel, we met yet again
