Please Come Home

cutelilcardinal

You would not believe the cascade of tears

That were shed the other night

I laid in the dark and listened to a song

That accurately described my fight

The singer lamented of her love who left

And now is miles away

I never knew I’d experience

The longing of wanting someone to stay

In the darkness there were so many things

That between us were left unsaid

I wish I didn’t have to keep it that way

And could speak my mind instead

Although I know that if I did

My wish would never come true

For the three words that I long to say

Are because I love, miss, and need you

And in that moment of sadness and tears

I couldn’t help but feel alone

As I finally worked up the strength to whisper aloud

“Please, come home…”

Very glum and somber its a good poem in showing how the human heart is like a puzzle missing a piece or a painting missing a specific color the feeling of when we lose a loved one. Very nice keep it up.
