One twenty three
In the morning
That’s around the time the pain hits
The memories wash over me like a suffocating ocean wave
When the weight hits me square in the chest
When the tears flow heavy and true
Around the time that I remember you
Breath in
Breathe out
Ignore the weight
And ignore the doubt
Take as long as you need
Because every minute that you sit in the overwhelming darkness
Every minute you lay on the bathroom floor tears falling from your chin
Every minute you spend wondering if you’re better off dead
Is another minute bought for your priceless existence
And the minutes add up to hours
Hours to days
Days to weeks
Weeks to months
Months to years
And time will heal
Your pain and eventually, your fears
