Last Night

Masking

I just dated, last night.
And I decided to give her my coat,
While it was hitting moonlight. A poem for her I wrote,
As her eyes took flight, Across my hearted quote.
Her cheeks glowed real bright.
I really don't want to gloat.
But as she turned to her right,
She left a kiss on the note. her love was the cite,
A lump appeared in my throght.
When her eyes were in sight.
What a night when I have dated,
Because so long I have waited.
