Remembering my Grandfather
forgetting my Dad
Wanting to be near him
paternal influence bad
He loved without question,
his smile blocked the sun
And without his embracing
—my life on the run

A very relatable poem to me----quite good!!
Thanks Christina. Without him, I would have been LOST!
Kurt,
Grandfathers are a blessing!
This beautiful poem resonates of the relationship my dad had with his grandfather. My dad’s father abandoned his family when my dad was five years old. He went to Argentina and never returned. My great grandfather raised my dad along with his brother! He certainly did a great job!
I enjoyed this write very much.
~Laura~
Thanks Laura, my Grandfather saved my life. He died in 1974 the
week before I got married. I've missed him every day since.
I'd give all the writing back for one more day with him....
That is truly sad.😔
