It is a conundrum to miss someone that you see every day.
That you sleep next to every night,
I hear your voice,
Look into your eyes,
Yet I crave you like it has been years since your skin graced mine.
The dull motions of life can sometimes leave a feeling of distance in things that are but mere inches away from each other.
I see you
but I cannot touch you,
Not the way that I want to
I often search for the warmth of your lips in the sun,
I find it does not burn bright enough.
When the sun sets,
and I am alone
It is a fond reminder of your smile.
Never exactly the same
but always full of wonder and beauty.
The moon rises,
she is almost as blue as your eyes tonight,
I search but I do not find you there.
I am living in a four inch dead space of artic abyss,
In Between to flames that burn like hells inferno
And I want nothing more than to feel the burn.
