"Insomniac"

AlinaVanderson

How do I fall asleep

In a place that isn't home

A quiet empty place

A frozen twilight zone

What can I do but watch the sunset

Rise over the lake

And pray I get some sleep

If only for my own sake

The pills I take no longer work

I need some stronger meds

But I fear i'll go too far

Desperate to go to bed

So i'll sit and write

Till the moon fades out

Inside my head ill

Scream and shout

If I fall short

Help me keep track

I promise I’m just

An insomniac
