I lay down in my bed and you wrap your arms around me.
You whisper my anxieties and describe my fears.
I close my eyes but you squeeze me until I can't breath.
I try to pull away but you sink into my skin.
In the day, you seem to go away.
but when I think I'm finally free...
You appear again.
Embracing me like an old friend.
My nightly lover.
