Pride Parade

Liam Lawless

It’s funny how fast the colour fades,

When it’s the end of the day;

When it’s the end of the Parade.

Walking hand in hand with fear

Because of the pointing morons and

because if their not so subtle sneer.

Because of Brian

and his bible bashing Bastards bellowing

About how I don’t deserve human rights.

And all that shit.

By the next day you’ld think it never happened,

No-one cares, the day has been and gone.

The straights own every single day,

Us queer folk have that one.
