Pot of Gold

D. K. Heqet

Drifting skies and forward fire,

Take me somewhere,
where it’s quiet.
-

Lift up and sea,
be my ocean blanket.

I’ll follow you into the darkness.

-
Let’s go, let’s go.

Don't look back,

I can feed things that you lack.

-
Into a rainbow, or down the road,

You are a readying pot of gold.

Just hold me here and don’t let go.

-
With golden eyes that swoon me so softly,
let’s furnish this love in fine mahogany.

Expensive taste, to touch alike,

Feeling you fills me with light.

-
Brightness and evergreen,
but you do not so see...

What comes in twos makes for a scenic scene.

-
How can something taste so good?

Too touch a such would do me no good.

As my paupers and peasants crowd round your fire,

burning up, sick and filled with desire.

-
Just show me the signals,
I‘ll follow the signs.

Tell me now,
are we following along the same lines?

  • Fay Slimm.

The yearning is palpable Kanisha - -- love unrequited would feel just like this - a gem of a read.

I would say there is a lot of yearning for sure. Intensely!
Thank you for your kind words.
