Delicate hands that shackle us together
Kind eyes that hide the storm within
Lovely ruby colored lips that speak pretty words that mask the ugly truth
The scent of vanilla hides the smell of fear
Layers of makeup cover the green of envy
A smile that becomes addictive
A malign soul buried in a pretty girl

- Comment from author about the poem: I recently had to cut someone off after finding out a lot about them. it was tough after 4 years of love but I'm finally at peace with everything but I wrote this right after it happened.
