Legacy

Grey-heart

Andy always knew, he was a rock star,

Since he was a child, he would go far,

He spent all his money, got a guitar,

Quit his job, and said goodbye to the bar.

He taught himself to play, grew his hair long,

Andy played from the heart, wrote his first song,

Rock n’ roll heaven, played it loud and strong.

Played it to a band, and they said “come along”. Yeah!

Chorus:

Thin Lizzy, Tom Petty, Bad Company,

Like them before you’ll down in history,

Only you decide your destiny,

But how will you leave your legacy?

Andy’s the star of a rock n’ roll band,

His music hit the charts, it made demand,

He made his own money, he toured the land,

He met a girl, and asked her for her hand.

She took him back stage, she saw he was blue,

He had a secret, more than she could chew,

That he was into men and that much was true,

No point denying what she already knew.

Chorus:

David, Prince and Freddie…

Solo:-

Andy met a guy, brought him back home,

They drank and they smoked, and he woke up alone,

He hit the road again, and had a change of tone,

But then he got sick, and fell like a stone.

His guitar went quiet, his life wasn’t long,

The fans adored him, came in a throng,

They put him in the ground, played his favourite song,

Andy may be gone, but his music lives on.

Chorus:

John, Marc and Jimi…

Yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah…
