Erase the words and start again
How many sentiments are lost
Like dust removed by mornings rain
Enveloped by winters frost
Will the moment ever return
Or is it fleeting so our lives
Replaced by newer pains that burn
Different truths or different lies

- Comment from author about the poem: To the unread scribblings and the painted over thoughts that never come back to us. Lost in the moment the thing we should have said but we didn't I love ou? I miss yiu? I'm sorry you know the sort of thing...

I am all too familiar with the predicament you more than adequately describe..... nicely poemed my friend... N
I've started so much work / poems that were thrown away or lost over time
There must be millions of poets in the world
That's a lot of angst love hate and fear like paintings the only the one's were vaguely happy with get seen by others
Every writen words a lie it's someones take on what really happened
Even the history books are written by wax lyricists
I steer clear of the academic types who hide behind words
Rant over
Thanks Neville
if it clears the air and ya feel better for it, rant away my friend... no problem...
