You Don't See

Brie

Little by little a piece of my heart is stripped away

And only because that's all I can give

Though you seem oblivious, I wonder if I can make you see

How my words are fluent yet shaky

How my eyes gaze when you aren't looking

Or how I say things you may not understand,

things that only I would

and yet,

you still don't see
