What's Holding You?

Brie

I've gone so far,

It's to the point where I no longer care

Something to expect, but unexpected at the same time

And by now I'd be used to it

That's why you don't see it on my face

But can you hear it in my voice?

If you could see deep into my soul would you even try?

I mean honestly, we've come this far

What's holding you back now?

  • Tamara Beryl Latham - The Poet

Brie, your words appear to be either written for someone you are bending over backwards to please or to make that person aware of the love you want him/her to take further (friend to lover).

I am unable to discern which of the two is the subject, but the poem is a good one. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
