persistence

dusk arising

he was a weak man
and deep within he knew it
they'd sold him their hackneyed story
and he believed it like a mug
it was all he had
and now he felt he had to shout its regurgitations

they'd caught him young
when he was a child and, easily scared
easy to brainwash
for his brainwashed parents
offered their kids up to be brainwashed too
to that secretive peadophile christian church cult

The peado part of this just accentuates how corrupt the churches involved are. They're so used to inflicting 'fear of god' unquestioning 'blind faith' into their forever gullible flock, that they seem to think they can get away with kiddie fiddling too.
Half the stuff these churches preach is accepted by their own theologists as mistranslated rubbish yet still the churches regurgitate it.

Is it just a minority of places and people? Or am I being naïve?

If you are referring to pheodophilia, then it would appear to be widespread when the pope and archbishop of canterbury go out of their way to publicly apologise for it.
Knowledge that the bible is full of mistranslations should be known to all christians unless they have their head buried in the sand.
