Do that in your own time

Edthepoet

Tell me something today
That I've never heard you say
I don't know who I'll be tomorrow
Or who i was yesterday..

Let me in on your secret
And I'll let you in on mine
I don't see the point in money
But it sure does pass the time

Share with me your wisdom
A lesson learned through pain
I had a thought that could change the world
Then I slipped and it flew away

We're all born bright eyed
With one certainty in mind
You can't take nothing with you
Little victories are left behind
So the next time they say hey sunshine
"Do that in your own time"
Turn to them and smile..
"Mother fucker it's all mine!"
