My dear
why do you fear the fall
you avoid kindness and replace it for disrespect
yet you know it’s not what you deserve
Anxiety eats you away
as you cling tightly
to the tethered thin string
that you think you know as love
But love should not fasten you to another
no
it should set you free
from burden
from pain
it should be the key to the lock
that your heart has hiddenly contained
you’ve learned to trust the untrustworthy
you believe liars and cheats to be your lovers
but they treat you just the same
and when the kindness of love actually finds you
you hide away from the fear of unknown
of the foreignness of truth and honesty
be brave my friend
let it overcome you
and you will learn how it is
to see another
the way I see you.
