Wilted

In an effort to make myself better,

I'm doing all the things you said we would do together.

Starting early tomorrow morning I'm going to the gym.

I'll start off with just some simple walking.

Eventually I'll work my way up to running.

Like you always wanted.

I'm having my wisdom teeth removed.

I know you would've loved to listen to the silliness.

I'm still going to therapy.

I wish I knew you were doing the same.

You once said even if we had never met,

You would feel a gap.

Is that still true?

Is there a gap where I once was?

Or have I become nothing more than a nuisance?

Someone you wish you could forget?

Or worse.

Someone you can't remember.
