I Love You

"Carter Wills"

I love you as much as my heart can manage,
with the full extent of my mind beside.
I love you as many love the beach,
and the ocean’s swirling tides.

I love you as people love the woods,
the freedom and sprawl of nature within.
I love you as people love the sky,
even on the days when it's raining.

I love you as those love the plants,
a flowering blossom and a blooming rose,
I love you as people love gems and metals,
and all things so expensive like those.

I love you as I love my own life,
for it has so much more worth with you,
I love you with all I can muster,
for the feelings you bring through.

I love you like one loves few others,
and I mean that with all my heart,
I love you here, forever and always,
and never wish to be a moment apart.
