ink

queer-with-a-pen

dammit any how

i’m a love poet

a hopeless romantic

heart on my sleeve

gladly rolling your name around

in my mouth like a marble

my teeth ache

from wanting you

and that’s okay

i’ll rub the pain

out of my jaw and

get back on my feet

and there are so many ways

for me to say

i love you

it’s rolling down my arms

black and blue ink

let me water your notebook

paper garden with all these

words of mine

i’ll love you through

everything and will

your jagged edges back together

because i’ve got so much

to give

let me forget how to

hate myself so much

as i hold you in my arms

we can sit and watch

the world for a little while

intertwine your fingers with mine

let’s anchor each other

at least for tonight

and you’ll believe me

when i tell you that

you are deserving of so much love

of everything you want

in this world
