Mania

Unobtrusive Sun

Manipulative, malevolent, mystified

Inevitably inverting our introspection

Waning away collected calculation

Like calcified cancer;

Contouring colors of passions

Which fasten franticly to oblique reactions

As fantasied antics

Crafted daintily in packets,

Jacketing the tactlessness behind the fanatics.

Hopelessly happy, helplessly harrowed.

Mania.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This one was written before my last post, Encroachment, and you may notice a few repetitious words since Encroachment was all scribbled in a whim not ling after writing this. Mania is far more personal to me and is near to my heart.
