The Calm Before The Storm

Syd

Counting down the hours
Until the storm hits

There's a stillness in the air

Gathering supplies
To blow away our cares

Hairs on arms stand up
Charged with static
Conscious of every breath taken
Butterflies in our stomachs.....

 Apprehension raises it's ugly head
I pray this voyage is not forsaken

For we are fearless travellers
Risking high seas with everything to lose

Our free radicals are tweaking
Ready to wash away the blues
