Goodbye Tomorrow

Kurt Philip Behm

A voice goes silent

 in the distant wind

No tracks to follow

 no path within

Muses cry

 as shadows fade

Their chorus faint

 with dreams unmade

The past abandoned

 tomorrow gone

This moment orphaned

 the night so long

Goodbye tomorrow

 farewell today

All hope now fleeting

 —time castaway

This such a beautiful poem! I especially liked the lines "Muses cry / as shadows fade / No tracks to follow / no path within" and "This moment orphaned / the night so long". It's so beautiful. It makes me think of how important it is to never lose hope. The path is inside us. Nobody points us to it. It should be within us and if it isn't then we really are lost. I think that our hopes fade only when we have gotten off our path. Thank you for the poem. I really enjoyed it.
