Fine is the maple

With its syrup sweet

On pancakes many days

And always a treat   

 

Strong is the maple 

When a project you build

Whether a dining room table

Or bookshelf to be filled

 

Cooler Is the maple

With its spacious shade

With relief from the sun

On a hot summer day

 

Beautiful is the maple 

Changing colors every autumn

With red, orange and gold

Not easily forgotten

 

Fine is the maple

In a myriad of ways

Helping when they're able

To enrich our duller days
