The day you Died

MojoFreewrite

The day you died

Was the day you missed the sun rise

The day you died

Was when you were 24

Years still ahead, pain and happiness you never got to experience

The day you died

Was when he broke

Your memories still living in their shadows

His eyes filled with guilt

The day you died

Was when we were supposed to tied the knot

He still wakes gripping at the sheets where you once were

His tears filled lungs

The day you died

Was when the world crumbled

You had the world at your hand

The sun smiling at your heart

The day you left him was when the world finally felt peace

  • Comment from author about the poem: Love is such a hard concept for me to understand, having been loved and left over and over again. My own company keeps me alive, but I want to live in someone else’s heart too ❤️
