Vacation Destination
Our lives were exciting and great
As we traveled down the interstate
Not exactly knowing where to
But thrilled to be on the move
We listened to the radio
And poems we composed
With smiles and laughter some
Good for everyone
And far down a road
We stayed in a cabin remote
A part of a pastoral scene
Where we walked every evening
We got lost a time or two
On a trail where grass grew
But always found our way back
Every time we got off track
We returned to our city home
Rested to the bone
Better for making the trip
With many memories of it
