A Billion Snowflakes

Edthepoet

When you've grounded your reality
In the narrative on your TV screen
How can you expect to be taken seriously
By anyone who forms an opinion from their own experiences?

When you've grounded your reality
Within the narrative of that media company
How can you expect to be believed in
By anyone who's actually broken through the glass ceilings?

When you've cultivated your appearance
But you look exactly the same as the millions
Of other pumped up plastic self delusions
Don't you dare claim unique belongs in your vocabulary

The autumn sun doesn't reach the ground
As a billion snow flakes make the same old sound
I can't wait for the summer of love to melt them down.

The winter blues roll back around
As a billion snow flakes make the same old sound
I can't wait for the summer of love to melt them down
