Words and images.

Debsspot

Reading words well written

conjures images.

People and places in your head.

The things they see,

the things they feel,

the things they said.

No two bring them to life the same way.

Words are images.

Images are feelings.

Feelings expressed in words.

Beauty or ugliness

move you just as much.

Who is the creator  -

the writer or the reader?

Each a different part of the whole.

The chicken or the egg.

No one without the other.

What is a writer without an audience.

A silent voice.

  • Comment from author about the poem: I suppose it comes from reading a lot as a child. I can often read a poem or a passage and picture It or look at a picture and it tells me a story. Is it similar to empathy ?
