paper leaves

Jezebel Jones

as you stand by the window and say how every time you look it’s a different day
we wonder whether 4:20 is too late or too early
and what deadline are we trying to meet?
not a line but tracks from you to me that I would jump every time after the last
never better than late
would I apply day cream or night cream?
would the autumnal trees have started to blossom?
or would the blossom have began to fall?
fall like the meteor shower you didn’t wish upon because you thought you had it all
but you didn’t have me
