Lives On

"Carter Wills"

People will pass in this physical plain,
and go beyond this world of flesh and blood.
Moments will come and go straight past,
memories fading and forming like a great flood.

But do keep in my that it all lives on,
in a place one may not recall.
It all lives on in your heart, soul, and mind,
and never truly is gone for all.

For so long as you hold true in your heart,
and never let them slip from your knowing,
then they shall always and forever live on,
always gaining and once more growing.

For the loss of something doesn't mean it's truly lost,
and a forgotten memory not truly forgot.
For as long as it remains in some little place,
it'll always live out its lot.
