Homer's Walking Catfish

w c

Homer’s Walking Catfish

We got the news one fine day

That at Homer’s a catfish arrived

And he was a hit right away

Walking before our eyes

Homer dipped the catfish up

For his customers to see

And each was amazed very much

And barely could believe

We bought peanuts and soda pop

And snacked as we looked

And fascination grew on the spot

As the new kids got a look

Classmates were also found

Riding their bicycles too

To see the catfish walking ‘round

In Homer’s place they knew

His was the place to be

As if a unicorn had been found

With the catfish for all to see

So special to those around

We went to Homer’s many days

To see the walking wonder

And we were always amazed

And enjoyed our catfish summer
