the wolf howls,
the moon answers.
night flutters,
whispers roar.
wind whipping,
ears straining.
shadows, paintings,
furrows tainting.
love broken,
timed strokes.
TICK-TOCK
mouses running,
eyes closing.
darkness enters,
the wolf still howling.
