In the land of red-rock buttes
Lives a magic, rippling energy
With diamond silks of knowing mountain air
Caressing open, willing souls
Whispering Native American prayers

This vortex of divinity
Is my natural spirit-healer
Cleansing my haunts of deeply embedded pain
Amidst the glow that hits the rocks
In cosmic energy from another plane

The sandstone etched by the universe
Is painted here in rich, tonic-red
Casting a spell on the beating heart of eyes
This is the desert's prized ruby
Comforting a lifetime of internal cries

A fine write Santita. KP's up to her self-publicising stunts again, I think. Whatever made me marry here on Halloween? I must have been spooked into it!

    • Santita

haha you guys are a match made in heaven!
      Thanks, Orchi!

      • orchidee

Oohh yes, I'm an attention-seeking, publicity-touting dark horse, with a barking (mad) '18+' dog called Fido! You'll hear him bark in some poem comments, if they have not marked them 18+ when they should be.

        Beautiful write Santita.

          Thank you, Goldie :)

Beautiful poem as always Santita. I'm almost envious of the way you can write with such emotion and detail.

            Stay cool - Syd xo

            • Santita

You're writing is awesome, Syd, equally emotive! Thanks for the continued support! Happy to read from you. Be well.

              • Syd

Aw thanks so much Santita. I'm not around as much as I used to be. I feel I've took too much on and am becoming as slave to the system. The same thing I often write about. I'm a hypocrite I suppose but at least I'm aware.

                Take care - Syd
