I miss my dog

So bad

It's been so long

I've had 

Time to move along,

Get glad

But it still feels so wrong

 

And so I know this lonely road expands along where no one knows

It spans the globe with much to show

But damned if I must go alone

And so

      Thank you! This is actually about one that is alive and well, but belongs to an ex-girlfriend of mine who I got him for as a gift, but he was still considered both of ours before the relationship ended. Tensions keep me from seeing him very often, so I feel like it may be a different sort of longing than for one who has lived his life and passed on, or that another one could easily replace knowing he's out there.
