Heartache

Shakerite

Heartache     How could love be so cruel
feelings down spiral miniscule
bereft of the joys i once felt
deathly frown replace cheery melt

No more high notes, Only low
Songs once sung now merely a dirge
Rythym of my heart
Sallow instead of adagio surge

It was who set me afloat in this sea of love
Now we are down anchor
Lost in this vast ocean losing hope
Not longer up but down periscope

The dark side of the moon
Is my habitat now
No longer the light you shone for me
Gloom has taken my bonhomie

Only you can brighten my gloom
Take me out of this misery vacuum
Inside me lies a picture of you
Beautifully crafted since in you flew.

thank you
