Never

sylviasearcher

Neverheard, neverfelt, neverseen
A dangerous loon
Living through dream
Enticing? Entwining?
With evocative scene?

Neverhere, neverthere, nowhere
A sociopath in cunning disguise?
Lost in your glare
Fumbling, crumbling
Who cares of her prayer?

Neverending, neverdone, neverdead
A crazed girl who exists in your head
Recalls rhymes that cannot be unsaid
Lingering, longing
For a truth which could end all this dread

Neverknown, neverknew, non-believer!
A lost girl who falls to the floor
As she sees how her dreams have deceived her
Ending, descending
No more! No more! No more!

Once a girl, once lonely, once lost
Awoken by lies
Forever

  • Fay Slimm.

Thank you for this great cascade of rhythmic and expressive words which flow so readily from your creative pen Sylvia - -"never" words have rarely meant so much to this reader. A clever use of repetition and an engaging read.

Thanks for noticing Faye. Sometimes the words spill out almost like my own therapy 💜
