I wanted to tell you
It would not subside
I read your poem
And my heart began to cry
The faith that’s been lost
Is no small thing
The Lord is waiting to see you
Looking to Him again
You have heard every answer
You have experienced the pain
You have waited in longsuffering
For it all to go away
You stood on the word
Until your knees became week
Then you stumbled and looked
But could not find relief
You saw no hand
reaching out for you
No solution
No bandaid
Not even a smile
To hold on to
Now in your darkest hour
The things you held on to
Seem bleak and surreal
They don’t even appeal to you
You are in this world
But will you be of it
Is the pain enough
To forget what’s been promised
See your circumstances were defeated
By salvation at the cross
Didn’t you believe
That your God was the truth
Even during every little loss
The things of this world
Will blow away
Like chaff in the wind
No more pain
Or sorrow
Will there ever be again
Only in this place
Can the thief
Kill, steal, and destroy
Will you remember
Who you truly are
And receive your inheritance
I hope that you will
Because your my family
Through him we are saved
And he loves you immensely
So I’m standing here
I’m right in the gap
I am praying in the place
Where your faith has lapsed
Interceding for your loved one
For healing in Jesus name
Declaring the mind of Christ over you
To relieve your hardest days
When you let the light in
The darkness must flee
And you will be free
From anger and grief

- Comment from author about the poem: Jesus loves you whether you believe in him or not and he will never stop perusing you. He will always come up again and again and he’ll love you the same every day weather you choose him or not his love will never change! And if the God that I serve loves you and deemed you worthy of love when he created you then I also love you and deem you worthy even if you hate me for it!
