What happened to the girl i once knew

The confident funny smart young lady 

I know she existed i have the memories to prove it

Until now she never realised that she went away

Left in her place is a shell of a girl

One who is broken 

How do you get back to where you were

The world is spinning as it fades to black

Closing your eyes you are meet in the warm embrace

It holds you close as it whispers to you

Telling you to just do it, to give up 

Nobody would mind if you were to disappear

When they say they love you then turn around 

Using the same mouth to spew words of hate 

Until you wish you were gone

The darkness has a gift for you

Wrapped in a neat little bow

Here's a bottle and here's a blade 

It promises to make the pain go away

All you must do it not shy away

Accept your fate

Unwanted, Unloved

A burden to others who lie and never want you around

Its a simple choice to make 

Take the gifts the darkness holds 

Let the agony of this words drift away 

Maybe now the world will have better days
