My Wish

Echo Seeker

Come quickly to hear,

A plea from my heart.

For I have but a moment,

Before I depart.

I've kept it this long,

For I could see,

The world had no tolerance,

For people like me.

But I'm sure you're aware,

Of the state of our care,

So I won't waste your time,

On such trivial flare.

My wish is selfish,

But it's my one plea.

Just take a moment,

To listen to me.

In this busy world,

Full to the brim,

With miserable people,

Whose lives are so grim.

Lend an ear to the ones,

Precious to you.

Make them feel loved,

And whatever you do,

Don't turn them away,

When they come with an ail,

For a thoughtless word,

Could tip the scale.

First of all, this rhymes scheme is awesome. It flows very nicely.

Secondly, the message is soooo important and despite the sadness that’s laced in the words you still manage to relay a message of hope in the end for those suffering.

    Great write, -MoT
