Déjà vu

Clark

When you love something

You set it free

But why would you set me free

When all I ever craved was

your arms around my body

my cold, intoxicated, barely breathing body

I saw you came back to town

My eyes began to blur and I thought to myself

Maybe he came back... for me

And not another moment later I thought

You foolish girl. He's broken you yet again. Gotten your stupid hopes up again. You stupid, unworthy, ugly, disgusting, broken, intoxicated...

Then the tears began to fall again

Last year's December came burning through my mind and

Winter snow turned into flames
