Designated bonfire
Theta was here, in California the state of ash where people were in a state of panic. People lost their homes, belongings and at times their lives. All that theta had to deal with was the smell when in fact he should be grateful. He did not feel their pain.
- In this state of being sad
In the state where everything is bad
- Where news and weather is crap and dreams are at an all time low
And even when winter comes around it doesn’t even snow
- And then a cherry on top was a fire struck
Happiness and hope was stabbed and hidden behind a truck
- Ash and smoke filled the air and uneased people close and near
It filled people with uneasiness and fear
- Some were hurt and some lost their homes
Others died while others complained about this smelly dome
- As fire comes and wreaks havoc on lives and memories
People from all over the place cry and flee
- It tears and shreds at all the homes and those who are vulnerable
Erases and weakens anything that was remotely stable
- The smoke has settled and all that remains is ash
Memories now executed and a thing of the past
- The only light that is shed is from kindness
There is some hope but for now sadness has it blinded
- Humans have a tendency to flock to tragedies and drama
If your god was real he would be in shock and awe
- For instead of being sad and feeling bad for one another
We should help out and treat each other like sisters and brothers

- Comment from author about the poem: Morning my fellow poets as always feedback is welcome. Have a wonderful day and or evening. -Theta your friendly neighborhood scholar. PS: the fire was sorta spooky since there was a possibility that I would need to evacuate because of the smoke was coming near where we live.

I know I'm sorta late on writing this and I'm not under minding the police and firefighters that saved lives. But it sorta irks me when people think sending their thoughts and prayers helps.
