THREE HOURS LATE FOR HER FIRST DATE ! BRIAN !

I started dating in the 1990's ~ no mobile phones
We didnt all have phones in our Homes
I dated a Girl ~ called Sadie ~ from our Choir
She always made my Heart beat higher !
I was in Liverpool ~ she lived over the Mersey
So she would recognise I wore my Red LFC Jersey !
The date was fixed for SIX I waited by the Jetty
She was coming to stay (week-end) with my Auntie Letty
The Liver Clock struck SIX O'CLOCK then Seven & then Eight
By NINE O'CLOCK nearly left the Dock ~ she was mega late !
Then she appeared on the Nine O'Clock Boat - A vision in a MINI
I wasn't cross ~ I didn't shout and she just gave a Whinny !
We took the BUS to Aunty Letty's ~ Fish & Chips ~ then BED
My Aunty Letty understood & so did Uncle Fred ~ AMEN
